Climate Week NYC Bright ‘n Green Systems Tour Sept. 30th 2013

30 Sep 2013, Posted by admin0 in Blog, Events

At “Bright ‘n Green,” our aptly named net zero energy building visitors are invited to learn first hand about the systems in place. In its preliminary stage, the project earned EPA and OER certifications and received a Green Site Award from the Mayor’s Office of Environmental Remediation. When completed, Bright ‘n Green will additionally qualify for an Energy Star rating, meet LEED Platinum standards and meet the standards of the Living Building Challenge.

Celebrating design that creates transformative change and carrying forth programs for educating the public about the environmental qualities of the Bright ‘n Green Living Building project is an important aspect of the challenge.

Bright ‘n Green hosted its first public tour in conjunction with Climate Week NYC – the global summit created by The Climate Group which marked its 5th anniversary this year. BnG_ClimateWeekNYC
