Founded in 1970, the CSCA is a nonprofit organization of professionals devoted to elevating the standard of communications within Central Ohio and to promote a better understanding of the context and function of the visual arts in commerce, industry, education and the community, with diverse programming often participating with other relevant organizations such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), Advertising Federation (AdFed), the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
A small sampling of CSCA speakers have been Massimo Vignelli, Debbie Millman, Kyle Cooper, Scott Stowell, Armin Vit, Chip Kidd, Dana Arnett, Stefan Sagmeister, Steff Geissbuhler, Mary Ellen Mark, Wink and Jessica Hische.
The CSCA will host Bright ‘n Green’s developer, Robert Scarano, on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Columbus Ohio’s Gateway Film Center.
Take the Big Apple, amazing architecture, toss in some greens (as in sustainable), and you’ve got yourself a recipe for success. Robert Scarano holds that recipe close to his chest by keeping a flow of challenging and profitable projects to inspire and energize his team.
Scarano and his team work magic with ordinary building materials through design and architecture. His mentoring style of guided independence has resulted in amazing buildings where intelligent construction techniques and custom design merge to form sanctuaries of splendor.
